Life at Taurima

Full Board

We provide meals seven days a week. Continental breakfast, cooked lunches and a cooked dinner at night with dessert. If you can’t join us for lunch, there are cut lunch fillings available during breakfast so that you can prepare sandwiches to take with you. If you can’t join us for dinner, we will keep your dinner for you to heat up on your return. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and snacks are available anytime between breakfast and lock-up at night.

Rooms

All the rooms at Taurima are single. There are no double/shared rooms. Rooms have beds with drawers, built in desks and wardrobes with shelves. Fresh linen is available each week – sheets, towels and pillowslips. All bedrooms are centrally heated in the winter.

Security

Staff are on duty 24 hours/day, with at least one male and one female on site during the night. There is off-street parking for residents’ cars only, and a lock up bike shed.

Facilities

We have a range of facilities for residents to use. There are two lounges, with a TV in each. One has a dvd player and a video player, and the other has sky television. There is a recreation building which contains a pool table, table tennis table, piano and a study area. Broadband internet access is available for a ‘one off’ charge. The ‘token operated’ laundry is equipped with two washing machines, a commercial clothes dryer, iron and ironing board. There are also covered and uncovered clotheslines.
